Hey jammers! This one was an interesting one, but I realized it's really fun to have a custom cursor/mouse! Here's how to do it:
1. Click this link: Custom Cursors 4 U
2. Next, select the one you want. There are hundreds to choose from, so see which one matches your blog the best!
3. Now, when you select your cursor scroll down until you see "Option #1 - Universal CCS/HTML Code" and then copy the text underneath.
4. Next, go back to your blog and click "Theme". Go to your theme and then click the down arrow next to "Customize".
5. Then click "Edit HTML"
6. A whole bunch of letters and numbers should pop up. To get where you want, hold down "Ctrl F" if you're on a windows desktop or "Cmmd F" for Macbooks. Then search ]]></b:skin> into the search bar until it comes up in highlighted yellow.
7. Now paste your code from the cursor website right before the ]]></b:skin> OR the b:skin<> code. (Click on the picture to make it bigger)
7 1/2. Here is what the code should look like once it's pasted, with an orange b:skin (if you still have the Cmmd F tab up) and your 2-3 lines of cursor code right above it.
8. Click "Save" in the top right corner and you're cursor should now appear! (If it hasn't shown up, try reloading the page)
Thanks for reading and I hope this helps for your blog! Happy blogging!
Wow, you're amazing at Blogger! I can't code anything except Python and Scratch :')
ReplyDeleteQuick suggestion: you should add a "finished product" image of the HTML code. I'm not great with understanding directions unless they're written out very clearly, and I don't want to mess anything up. For HTML a lot of the stuff you want to change is put between and . But you said put it before... so being me and having a hard time with directions, I don't fully understand. No matter how clear directions are I often mix them up.
Just a suggestion; you don't have to do it!

Ooh that's a great suggestion, Wild! I'll get right to it! :)
DeleteThe site is blocked for me (because my Chromebook is controlled by administrators) so do you know any other sites that could make a fish, dolphin, or ocean wave cursor (or anything related to the ocean)?
