How To: Change the Date and Time of Your Post

 Hey jammers! Popcorn here C:

Today's topic is one not known by many, but can prove useful in many cases.

I'll give you an example: say you've got loads of free time, and your schedule tells you that you need to publish a post tomorrow. You've got a great idea for one, and you're like "let me just write it now!" So you write it, and finish it. But you also have to put out a post today. So you write the post for today, and publish that one now. Change day to tomorrow. It's now tomorrow, and you are just about to publish your post. As you publish it, you see that the post appears behind the post you published yesterday because you wrote it on the same day, but the first one being written earlier.

That's what I end up doing a lot, and if you're like me, knowing this tip is very helpful.

Let's get started!

Where is the Date and Time?

You can find and edit the date and time here:

How to Edit D&T

1. Go to your Blogger Dashboard and click on the post that you would like to edit

2. Next, click on the highlighted dropdown in the picture above. You should come up with a screen like this:

3. Now you can freely edit the date and time! *Notice: you can't set a date in the future. For example, if it's March 2nd at 4:00 p.m., you can't set a post's date to March 2nd at 6:00 p.m.

Editing the Date - You can either manually type the date you would like in the first underlined section, or you can use the calendar to select a date. It doesn't matter which one you choose to use; they'll both get you the same result.

Editing the Time - You can set the time by going to the 2nd underlined box above the big calendar. Enter your time, and you're good to go!

And that's all you have to do! If you'd like to publish it, go right ahead! If you'd like to save it for a later time, just click the left grey arrow above your title and you will return to your Blogger Dashboard.

I hope this tutorial helped, and if you have any requests for future posts, make sure you visit the "Requests" tab below the title!

Thanks for reading and happy blogging!
