How To: Add a Poll Into a Post

 Hey jammers! Today's post is similar to what I talked about yesterday, but it is definitely different! Soooooooo let's get into it!

1. First you need to know how to make and embed a poll. Don't know how? Check out my previous post: https://createajblogfromscratch.blogspot.com/2020/09/add-custom-poll-to-your-blog.html

2. Now that you know that and you have the embed code copied, click on the post you want to add your poll to. 

3. Now, look for the little pencil icon on the far left of the toolbar! (Here's a screenshot) 

4. Click on the "HTML view" button. It should come up to an almost blank screen accept for a few letters and numbers. You can just erase this. Note: If you wrote text on to the post before you clicked the HTML view button, be careful not to erase that. 

5. Paste your poll embed code on the first line of the coding page. (If you have text, paste it directly under the text.)

6. Now go back to your "Compose view" by clicking on the pencil once again. If the poll doesn't show up right away, that's ok. Just hit "Publish" or "Update" as you would do with a normal post. Press "View Blog" and check the post that you just added your poll to. 

Extra Step: Is your poll not fitting into the post? Here's how you fix it:

1. Go back to your post so you can edit it, and hit the HTML view button again. Now go into where you pasted the code and find "width" and "height". 

2. From there just change the height and width to fit your blog! Every blog is different, so you might have to play around with it for a bit.
